Speakers named for remanufacturing lighting conference
The headline speakers for next month’s conference on Remanufacturing Lighting have been named by the event’s organiser Recolight.
The one-day gathering in London on Thursday 27 April 2023 will explore the opportunities and the challenges associated with reconditioning luminaires.
Clients, both corporate and public sector, are starting to warm to the concept of reconditioned lights to achieve both sustainability goals and cost savings. And tenders are beginning to emerge which specify the reconditioning and reuse of luminaires in a project.
Dubbed ‘Lighting Remanufacture – Making a success of luminaire reconditioning and reuse’ the CPD-approved will feature a range of expert speakers.
Simon Fisher FSLL of F Mark Ltd will explore the ways that remanufactures and specifiers can sell the concept to clients; Natalia Duffy of Arup will look at lighting design with reconditioned luminaires; Kevin Stubbs of Llumarlite Ltd will walk the audience through the remanufacturing standard BS8887; Tom Ruddell of EGG lighting will outline what a testing and compliance regime looks like; David Clements of FUTURE Designs designs will demonstrate how to remanufacture at scale; Andrew Nixon of Gamma Illumination and Darrell West of The Regen Initiative will take the gathering through some successful remanufacturing projects; Alison Gallagher of Arup and Howard Lawrence of Commercial Lighting Systems Ltd will look at the ways in which lighting professionals can overcome the barriers to adoption.
The proceedings – taking place at the Coin Street Conference Centre on the South Bank, London – will be chaired by Circular Lighting Report editor Ray Molony.
