Recolight uses LuxLive 2016 to expand free recycling services

Recolight will be exhibiting at LuxLive 2016, ExCel London 23 to 24 November.  The company will be highlighting the expansion of its free recycling service for all waste lighting.

Recolight is the UK’s largest lighting WEEE scheme, and the customers of Recolight members can access a unique, free of charge, waste lamp and luminaire collection service.  The company has recently reduced the minimum collection quantity to just 1000 lamps every 3 months, which makes the free service accessible to many more companies.

An increasing number of organisations are making waste collection a contractual requirement when purchasing new lighting. This includes the supply of empty containers to store the waste on the customer site, delivery of full containers to a recycler, and provision of paperwork to show compliant recycling.

Recolight is able to provide an integrated waste lamp, luminaire and battery collection service across multiple sites, with container deliveries carefully scheduled to fit in with the customer’s roll-out plans.

Where luminaires are supplied by lighting producers that are members of the Recolight compliance scheme, the waste lamp and luminaire collection service, including the provision of containers, is free of charge.

Producers that are not yet members of the Recolight compliance scheme will be able to discuss the joining options on the Recolight stand.

Recolight CEO Nigel Harvey will be speaking at the Lux Live conference on 24 November 15:30 in Tech 2 Theatre with a presentation entitled “WEEE and the Circular Economy”. He will give an update of changes to the regulations, and their impact on the lighting industry.
