Recolight prepares to attend LuxLive 2015

Recolight, the UK’s leading Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) compliance scheme for lighting, will be attending LuxLive 2015 at ExCel London on 18th and 19th November 2015.

Nigel Harvey, CEO of Recolight and LUX Man of the Year 2012, will deliver a presentation on 19th November at 10.00am in the Tech Theatre. Talking points will include an update on WEEE compliance for lighting and how to implement the reporting of dual use products.

LuxLive is a leading annual showcase of the latest innovations in the world of lighting, featuring news from the world’s most recognisable lighting brands and industry experts.

Nigel Harvey said, “We are delighted to return to LuxLive 2015 after the success of the event last year. It is an excellent platform for Recolight to present the important updates within the lighting industry in our effort to raise awareness and make the UK WEEE system fairer. We are consistently working to ensure that key influencers and lighting industry experts can work together to improve UK recycling rates.”

Recolight this year celebrates its tenth anniversary, following its establishment by key lighting Producers in 2005. The scheme was approved as a WEEE Scheme Operator in 2007 and has since played a significant role in the UK’s lighting industry.

Together with its 162 members and growing support base, Recolight has to date recycled over 36,000 tonnes of lamps, LEDs and luminaires, more than all other UK WEEE schemes put together.
