Recolight has recycled more lighting than all UK compliance schemes

The Recolight WEEE compliance scheme takes on the lighting producers WEEE responsibility and recycles all WEEE lighting.

Some compliance schemes don’t provide a recycling service for their members and their customers, they simply buy certificates from recyclers.

Recolight is unique – a free recycling service is offered for all members and their customers for all lighting in scope of the WEEE regulations.

This includes fluorescent and LED lamps and luminaires. From 2019 household luminaires will be in scope of the WEEE regulations, we will offer compliance and recycling for these too.

Since operations began in 2007, Recolight has recycled over 280 million lamps, this is more than all UK WEEE compliance schemes combined – and a huge testament to Recolight Producer Members and their customers.
