John Gorse has over 35 years’ experience working in the lighting industry, with the last 16 years taking on several roles at Signify.
He has managed teams that cut across all segments of the Lighting Industry. Securing business for Signify across the value chain, be it from provision of technical solutions to customised products.
John represents the industry on trade bodies, government, and consultative groups. He writes thought leadership articles for the industry press and attends many advisory and opinion leadership events.
In 2022 John moved to the role of Signify Country Lead for Public & Government Affairs.
Maria del Mar Rojas is the Europe Engagement Manager for the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), where she leads efforts to support European companies and sector initiatives in setting climate targets aligned with a 1.5°C pathway. She drives strategic partnerships and collaborations with key stakeholders to accelerate the adoption of science-based climate targets across industries.
Maria’s career spans both international NGOs and the private sector. Prior to SBTi, she was the Global Impact Manager at Compass at Google, where she led sustainability and wellbeing strategies for global operations. She has also worked with the Food and Land Use Coalition, advancing sustainable food systems and land-use policies, and at The Climate Group, where she led a campaign to improve energy productivity across industries. Maria holds an MSc in Sustainable Development and is passionate about aligning climate targets with a resilient, inclusive economy.
Emer Gillespie is founder of Spark & Bell, a purpose-driven B Corp™ lighting design studio from Brighton. With a belief that local community, collaboration and enduring products are at the centre of a sustainable business, Emer sits on the steering group for Interior Design Declares, is a member of Making Design Circular, a net zero champion for Brighton Chamber of Commerce, and a signatory of the Better Business Act.
She has shared her views on panel discussions at interior design fair, Decorex, and is a voice for positive change in the lighting and design industries.
Daniel Lintell is a design development specialist with 25+ years’ experience across a number of different market sectors.
With a long-standing passion for all things sustainability related, as Triton’s Sustainability Manager, Dan is helping to spear-head the company’s activities in this area.
A key part of the role has involved detailed analysis work to help understand the full life-cycle impact of showering as well as translating the business’s ambitious ‘Net Zero’ targets into a prioritized programme of carbon reduction initiative’s spanning the full value chain.
Andrew Mullen has spent 35 years working for major brands in White Goods and Consumer Electronics. He’s had responsibility for After sales, product Safety & regulatory compliance as well as New Product & technology development. He was actively involved in DTG during the formation of standards and the launch of Digital Terrestrial TV in the UK, and worked with DTG Testing (a partner in Safeshark) from its inception. Andrew has been at Beko PLC for 18 years, and is currently the Sustainability and Regulatory Affairs Specialist, working with the R&D teams in the UK and in Turkey to ensure products are safe, durable and compliant; bringing a sustainability focus. He is the current chair of the BSI CPL/59 committee for performance standards of appliances, interim chair of the AMDEA Smart Appliance panel, chair of the Joint Trades Association, and Non-Exec Director of Repic.
Mike Collett is the Founder & Director of EXALTA and member of Auditel’s Carbon Accounting & Procurement Network, bringing over 35 years of experience in international leadership, business growth, and management. Formerly the owner and CEO of WILA, a manufacturer of energy-efficient lighting solutions for commercial and public buildings.
He is a Past President and board member of the Lighting Industry Federation and the Lighting Industry Association, former Chairman of Lumicom and former Chairman of the IOD in Oxfordshire, and has served on the ZVEI council in Germany, his deep knowledge in construction and related sectors makes him a trusted industry expert.
Mike is a BSI Associate Consultant and Associate Partner (NQA APP), with many years of experience in energy-saving products and carbon reduction. He combines Auditel’s carbon management solutions with his own business knowledge to help organisations reduce emissions and prepare for a net-zero future. Mike also holds qualifications in Mechanical Engineering Production, Business Administration, and Business Growth & Development from and is a member of the Institute of Leadership & Management – MILM.
With his moto of raising the bar, Mike believes its time to raise the bar for net zero.

Nigel Harvey has worked in the Product Compliance Industry since 1990 in a variety of senior management roles covering marketing, business development, and operational management. Nigel joined Recolight as Chief Executive and Company Secretary in 2009. He is very active in both the lighting and WEEE sectors:
- Chair of the UK’s WEEE compliance scheme trade association, the WEEE Scheme Forum (WSF) since 2011, and a director of WSF Ltd since 2013.
- Nominated as a PCS guest to attend meetings of the Joint Trade Association (JTA) which works with producer trade associations including the LIA, to obtain a fair UK WEEE system. Has supported the JTA in the preparation of the proposals to operate the WEEE compliance fee which have been chosen by Defra in 7 of the last 8 years.
- Member of two BSI committees that include the review of WEEE treatment standards, and the development of a code of practice for the remanufacture of lighting equipment.
Nigel has published over 200 articles on WEEE and lighting over the last four years He is also a climate activist.
An award-winning technical journalist and a highly experienced event organiser, chairperson, webinar host and public speaker.
Ray Molony is the editor of the Circular Lighting Report, a Recolight initiative to inform the market of developments in sustainability in the industry. He’s also head of content at the Build Back Better Awards, an initiative to celebrate and reward environmental leadership, innovation, creativity and social purpose in the built environment, and the editor of Designing Lighting Global, a magazine for designers. He was co-founder of Lux magazine and the LuxLive exhibition. He’s also the award-winning author of the acclaimed book, Light: Re-Interpreting Architecture (Rotovision, 2014) which was translated into many languages. He studied engineering at Dublin City University.
