Maida Hot interview ‘There’s still a stigma with reused luminaires’

In a Circular Lighting Report video short, editor Ray Molony discusses the reuse of luminaires with leading lighting designer Maida Hot, managing director of London-based practice Equation.
‘Some clients are really hesitant on what these refurbished luminaires will be like and whether they will be good enough for their new headquarters and for the client areas,’ says Hot. But things are changing. ’It’s really great to see in the past few years, the number of lighting manufacturers that are prepared to take back their luminaires, instead of them going in a skip, to recondition them, re-warranty them and put them back onto market.’
