Lux Live 2013 – a reflection

In just three years LUX Live has established itself as the key UK lighting show. Each year the floor space, number of exhibitors and visitors has increased.

This year we were promised a LUX Live full of content, The LUX Arena delivered, with often standing room only.

As a WEEE compliance scheme for the lighting industry, it is very important for us to exhibit at the show. Not only did we meet with many prospective new members, we also caught up with many of our existing ones too.

LUX Award for recycling

Recolight were proud to sponsor  the Recycling Award, together with Lumicom, at the glittering LUX Awards. This year saw a record number of entries.

The winner was The University of Lincoln, who was cited by the judges for its commitment to energy-efficient lighting, such as its recent refit and recycle project in conjunction with Thorn, which will cut energy use by 62 per cent and see some 3,000 luminaires responsibly recycled.

Dexreco, Marwood Electrical and RS Components were all highly commended and DW Windsor were commended.
