EucoLight welcomes new Member, Appliances Recycling SA
Appliances Recycling SA from Greece has joined EucoLight, the European association of lighting WEEE compliance schemes. This brings the total of Members to 19 plus affiliate Member, Lighting Europe.
Marc Guiraud, Secretary General of EucoLight, commented:

Appliances Recycling SA is a take back scheme that organises, operates and controls the collective system for Waste of Electrical and Electronic Alternative Equipment (WEEE) in Greece. This includes coordinating the collection, transportation, temporary storage, separation and treatment of WEEE. It has over 10,000 WEEE Collection points across Greece and works with over 35 transport companies.
With over 55 lighting producer Members, Appliances Recycling SA collected more than 360 tons of lamps and lighting equipment in 2017 and achievied a recovery rate of over 90%.

EucoLight is the voice of European WEEE compliance schemes specialised in managing the collection and recycling of WEEE lighting; working to make the circular economy a reality for lighting products.
